About me

Hello, and welcome to WeCare Counselling & Mentoring Services.

My name is Dazia Biggs, and I am the founder of WeCare Counselling & Mentoring Services. I am a qualified counsellor with a Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) in Counselling and a Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I am committed to providing ethical, compassionate, and professional counselling in a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental environment where you can feel heard, understood, and accepted.

My counselling journey began through my passion for caring for others. Before qualifying as a counsellor, I worked as a registered nurse for more than ten years in both the NHS and private healthcare. During my nursing career, I cared for people from many different backgrounds who were experiencing illness, trauma, loss, and significant life changes. While supporting their physical health was rewarding, I became increasingly aware that many people were also carrying emotional pain, anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties, and unresolved life experiences that often went unspoken.

These experiences inspired me to pursue a career in counselling. I wanted to create a space where people could slow down, feel truly listened to, and explore their thoughts and emotions without fear of judgement. This led me to return to university to study counselling, where I completed my Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) in Counselling. My training equipped me with the knowledge, practical skills, and self-awareness needed to work therapeutically with individuals from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and life experiences.

Throughout my training and professional development, I have gained experience supporting people facing anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, bereavement, trauma, relationship difficulties, workplace stress, life transitions, and emotional challenges. I understand that every person’s journey is unique, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you explore your experiences at a pace that feels comfortable while supporting you to discover your own strengths, resilience, and capacity for change.

My counselling approach is warm, collaborative, and person-centred. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of effective counselling.

Building trust, offering empathy, and providing a space where you feel safe to express yourself openly are central to the way I work. I tailor each session to your individual needs, recognising that every client has different goals, experiences, and ways of understanding the world.

At WeCare Counselling & Mentoring Services, I believe that healing is possible when people feel genuinely accepted and supported. Whether you are struggling with overwhelming emotions, coping with loss, facing difficult relationships, or simply trying to make sense of your life, I will work with you to develop greater self-awareness, healthier coping strategies, and practical tools that support your emotional wellbeing.

As someone who has experienced significant life transitions, including changing careers from nursing to counselling, I understand that change can be both exciting and challenging. Personal growth often involves uncertainty, but it can also lead to renewed confidence, hope, and purpose. My own journey has strengthened my compassion and deepened my appreciation for the courage it takes to seek support.

I also recognise that spirituality and faith can be an important source of strength for some individuals. If this is something you would like to explore during counselling, I can sensitively integrate spiritual or faith-based discussions into our work when appropriate and always at your request. I fully respect every client’s beliefs, values, culture, and personal choices. Whether faith forms part of your life or not, you will receive the same professional, ethical, and respectful care.

As a Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), I work within the BACP Ethical Framework, ensuring that confidentiality, integrity, respect, and your wellbeing remain at the centre of our therapeutic relationship. I regularly engage in professional development and clinical supervision to maintain high standards of practice and provide the best possible support for my clients.

Taking the first step towards counselling can often feel overwhelming, but it is also one of the most courageous investments you can make in yourself. You do not have to face life’s challenges alone. Whether you are seeking support for a specific issue or simply want a space to reflect, heal, and grow, I would be honoured to walk alongside you on your journey.

At WeCare Counselling & Mentoring Services, my mission is simple: to provide compassionate, professional, and client-centred counselling that empowers people to overcome challenges, strengthen emotional wellbeing, and move forward with greater confidence, resilience, and hope.

I look forward to supporting you as you take the next step towards healing, personal growth, and lasting positive change.
